Catelijne Boele (1996, NL) lives and works in The Hague, NL.

 

Her work encapsulates paintings, installations, sculptures and writings. Subject-matters such as nostalgia, dreams and natural landscapes, have been important sources of inspiration for her throughout the past years.

 

By experimenting with materials such as acrylic paint, scrap wood, bricks and poetic writings, she attempts to catch ephemeral phenomena such as memories and melancholia into various materials.

 

Although she is currently mainly focused on her painting practice, she still lets the sculptural elements flow into her work - experimenting with the notion of space and materiality.
